About Iain De Caestecker

Born in Scotland, Iain is well known for his work in the U.S and the UK. In the UK, Iain has played the male lead in multiple high-profile BBC series—the BAFTA-winning “Best Drama Series,” THE FADES, in YOUNG JAMES HERRIOT for which he was nominated for a BAFTA Scotland Award for “Best Actor/Actress–Television” and most recently in BBC one's 3 part drama THE CONTROL ROOM. For the BBC, Iain can also be seen playing opposite Hugh Laurrie in ROADKILL and in US, based on the novel of the same name by David Nicolls. Upon his first trip to Los Angeles, De Caestecker landed a series regular role on the first Marvel TV series, Marvel’s AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. which he shot for an impressive 124 episodes over 6 years. Iain played one of the leads of Ryan Gosling’s feature directorial debut LOST RIVER, with cast including Saoirse Ronan, Christina Hendricks and Ben Mendelsohn.
